Undeserved Grace

“God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.” 

Romans 5:20

We can never figure out a way to get God’s grace. We can never read enough commentaries to get God’s redemption. We can never listen to enough sermons to get God’s hands working in our circumstances. No self-helps are sufficient. No counseling sessions are sufficient. Nothing you or other godly, well-meaning people can manufacture will ever be sufficient. Only the grace of God. Not the grace of you. The grace of God. The body isn’t healed through medical steps. It is healed by God, because He has grace. A job isn’t attained because you’re skilled and so appealing to employers. That job is given by God, because He has grace. That relationship is not restored because you worked hard enough to deserve it. The relationship was restored by God, because He is so very rich in grace. We cannot do these things on our own account. It is only through grace! You can’t manipulate your way. You can’t say magic words to fix everything. You can’t earn it. You can’t create it. God freely gives, freely blesses, freely encourages, freely strengthens, freely restores out of His perfect grace!
