Ambiguity

“For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9

As humans, we have a tendency to try to figure things out. A circumstance surrounds us, and we try to figure it out. Never fails. We try to wrap our minds around it. We try to find answers. We try to decide what to do. We try to manipulate how to force ourselves through it to the other side. We try to understand why it all happened. That’s not the goal! To have it all figured out is to be sovereign. To be sovereign is to be God. You most definitely are not God.  You don’t understand because you’re not meant to understand. You're not God! You can’t figure it out because you’re not God. You don’t have all the answers because you’re not God.  Ambiguity is certainly not a desired state. We don’t strive for it. We don’t celebrate when God gives it to us, but we are creation. We’re not sovereign. We’re not in control. We’re rarely in the know, and that’s ok. That’s how life is meant to be. God is the sole being who is to know all and plan all. We simply must follow. Following your Maker is far superior to trying to figure a circumstance out. There are two roads. Either you stumble from side to side down one road, trying to figure out what’s best from your small perspective or you follow the One who can see the entire picture and loves giving you the best. You don’t have the answers. You can’t seem to figure it out. You’re not meant to. Just keep following your generous, all-knowing Creator! He knows what He’s doing, especially when you have no idea.
