A Different Peace

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you, I do not give to you as the world gives. So not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

First, know that peace is very much not based on one’s circumstances. One within a chaos, a hectic storm can still feel a calm inside his being. But also know that this is solely possible through the dead, disfigured body on your behalf by the very Son of the Creator. Peace-true peace, the unbelievable, unmistakable sigh of relief breathed into one’s soul-is absolutely incapable of being found in worldly offerings. The temporary satisfaction one feels after reaching the level deemed perfection is just that: temporary! Don’t fall into the twisted trap Satan has laid for you. Be convinced of this: The fleeting gratification you feel will not last. It never will be enough. It will never end. But the peace of God is beyond human emotion. His is lasting. His is deep. His is healing. His knows no boundaries. His is real, full, all-covering peace, and He offers it in an unlimited supply simply upon request. What a gracious King we serve! There’s no reason for fear and no cause for you to be afraid! Reach out for God’s mysterious, wondrous peace!
