Life with Hope

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the physical representation of God on this earth. He is the literal embodiment of love. He holds all things together. His mission is one of absolute hope. He is the fulfillment of every promise ever conceived by God Himself. He is forgiveness. He is redemption. He is power. He is joy, strength, and unrivaled victory. Even more than these, Christ is the same yesterday. With Him, you have a relationship to your past, a relationship of redemption and forgiveness. Christ is the same today. With him, you have a relationship to your present circumstances, a relationship of joy and victory. Never forget that with Jesus Christ, you also have a relationship to your future. It’s not dismal. It’s not up in the air. It’s not full of maybes. With Jesus Christ, your future is one of hope. It’s one of fulfilled promises. God, unbound by time and space like we are, wanted to assure us, wanted to offer us peace about our lives. He used our language of time to remind us that with Jesus, we don’t live like every other person in the world. We have a past that’s forgiven, a present that’s powerful, and a future that is entirely full of fulfilled promises. The Jesus Christ of then is the Jesus Christ of now and He will be the same tomorrow! Grasp tightly onto this hope and live through constancy of Christ!
