Constant Prayer

“Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
Philippians 4:6-7
When you have doubt, pray. When you’re afraid, pray. When you’re lonely, pray. When you’re confused, pray. When your heart breaks, pray! Don’t hesitate in this because your feelings don’t even make sense. Your honesty with Christ may not be theologically sound. Your confessions may not read beautifully, but none of these matters.  The beauty comes not from the words, but instead from the honesty, urgency, and the surrender. When you can only see the negative scenario, stop. Acknowledge the thought, and go straight to God. When you’re suddenly overtaken by your grief, remembering every painful aspect of what happened, stop. Acknowledge the thought, and explain to your Father what you’re feeling. This is what praying without ceasing looking like. Talking to your All-Caring, All-Powerful Maker-mold this to be your first response. It doesn’t have to be perfect language, and it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone but you. Your Creator understands even your moans. Once you develop this habit, your life will transform. God will cover you, and you will experience a life of true wholeness. This is the result of God replaces your anxious thoughts!
