Unable To Carry

“Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way.”

Instead of using all our strength and time to live a life that shouts the name of Christ, sometimes we use all our strength and time to try to fix our problems. How embarrassing this is. Why do we insist on taking control? Why do we insist on carrying our heavy burden? We were never meant to. Our Masterful Maker designed us to precision, in such a way that we are absolutely unable-physically unable, mentally unable, and emotionally unable-to carry burdens. This was no slip of attention or accuracy. He purposefully molded us so that we could live carefree-giving all burdens to the Only One who can lift the cumbersome weight. We need to realize our literal lack of power to carry it ourselves and then we must simply ask Christ Jesus to take it from us. He is not unwilling and He is not prideful. He doesn’t want to point His finger at you and He doesn’t want to shake His head at you. He just needs you to ask because only then will you loosen your tight grip and let it go. The moment you do is the moment you feel Him breathe these words into your being: Relax, sweet love. Everything is going to be all right
