The Point of Life

“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13

Solomon, the wisest man to ever live, knew intimately the pleasures of the world. He knew immeasurable wealth. He knew absolute power. He knew vast acceptance by man. He even greatly knew sex, yet none of these mattered. Of course, none of these are inherently evil, but they are most certainly not to be the point of your life. Everything you do should always revert back to that which you claim to be the point of your life. Your miraculous Creator spoke through Solomon to whisper to His beloveds until the end of time the secret to true, quenching, perfect satisfaction and fulfillment: Be in awe of your Maker! Don’t be afraid. Don’t be stressed. Don’t be in awe of whatever is in front of you. Be in awe of Your Healer, Your Comforter, Your Savior, Your day-to-day Deliverer, and Your Powerful King who loves you beyond what is even possible for you to imagine! Listen and follow Him. That’s the point of life. It’s not so complex. Life is so complicated when you see money, power, acceptance, another person, or anything else as the meaning of your life. The whole duty, the whole fulfillment, the whole satisfaction, the whole purpose of man is found in being in awe of God Almighty, and rooting all of your life in Him.
