God-Given Thirst

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” 

Psalm 42:1-2

He that designed you is the only one who knows exactly how to fill you. He crafted you with a craving, an intensive need that is roaring to be quenched. It’s natural and deliberately given to you on purpose by God. The worldly, sin-nature within us, daily fighting for control over our lives, twists this thirst into a selfish pursuit. We want acceptance. We need wholeness. We chase every fix that appears to give others the gratification we absolutely hunger for.  We have a deep need inside of us and the strong flesh part of you hunts for an answer. Please don’t listen. The fix these offer is so very temporary, and it never quenches because it simply can’t reach that far, that deep. That hunger is God-given because only He can fill such a need. Open up, find Him as soon as possible, and let Him fill you. Then you will know life!
