A True Relationship

Your lack of faith does not in the least decrease the power of Christ. It merely blinds, shadows, clouds, and blurs your view of Him. He is who He is, regardless of your acknowledgement, recognition, or realization. He can do what He can do, regardless of your belief, hope, or confidence. You have not the power to dwindle down or water down the power of Christ. You have not the ability to lessen Him. Whether you expect Him to show up, restore your situation, or fulfill His promise, He will do as He will do. He doesn't need you to anticipate His ability.

But you do.

You need to know His limitless, unrelenting, powerful identity so that you do have confidence, hope, and belief in what He will do. You need to acknowledge, recognize, and realize who exactly Christ is. God is fully aware of who He is and what He can do, but He absolutely relishes, delights in hearing and seeing who He is to you.

God is a personal God. He knows you. He chose every last detail that knits you together. He spent time on you. He spent careful consideration on you. Every day, He spends His thoughts on you. He picks you, so imagine His joy when you pick Him, when you give time to Him, when you give careful consideration to Him, when you give thoughts to Him. Stop for a moment and contemplate the depth in such a two-sided relationship. This is precisely how God planned for the two of you to relate.

He authorized His Son to take your death sentence in order for you to not merely co-exist with each other, but to actually share a love-two-sided and requited.
In words.
In actions.
Conscious, selfless, sacrificial decisions to put the other first.
That's how God has always and will forever love you. That's also how God longs for you to love Him in return. He understands your fallen state. He forgives. He cleanses. He absorbs the sting, as part of His love for you. He also feels the decisions you make against Him, yet, as He is, He loved you first, fully knowing each choice you would make. This is His identity. This truly is love: Continually choosing to love, unmoved by the other person's failures. This is how God sees you.

The depth, the meaning, the thrill in your relationship with your Maker is dependent on you, because His commitment is absolute. He chose you when He offered and raised Christ. He chose you when He first imagined your creation. He chose you this morning. Please choose Him in return, and enjoy your active relationship with Your King.
